How to view loyalty program reports

Once your loyalty program has been running a while, the obvious question is whether it is working. Advanced Loyalty Program adds two report tiles that answer the first half of that: how many points customers earned in a period, and how many they spent. This guide shows you where to find them, what each number counts, and where the figures can mislead you.

Prerequisites

  • WooCommerce installed and active.
  • Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce installed and active.
  • Advanced Loyalty Program installed and active.
  • At least one order that earned or redeemed points, otherwise both tiles read zero.

Where to find the loyalty reports

The loyalty tiles sit on the Advanced Coupons dashboard, alongside the coupon activity widgets. They are not under WooCommerce → Reports or WooCommerce → Analytics.

  1. Go to Coupons → Dashboard in your WordPress admin.
  2. Scroll to the Loyalty Program section.
  3. Read the two tiles: Loyalty Points Earned and Loyalty Points Used.

The Loyalty Program section sits at the bottom of the Advanced Coupons dashboard.

The Loyalty Program section only appears when Advanced Loyalty Program is active. If you see coupon widgets but no loyalty section, the plugin is inactive.

What each tile counts

Loyalty Points Earned

The total points added to customer balances during the selected period. This is a sum of the points your customers gained, whether from a purchase or from any other earning action you have set up, such as signing up or writing a review.

Loyalty Points Used

The total points customers redeemed during the same period. Redeeming is what happens when a customer converts points into a discount at checkout.

Both tiles are a single number for the period, not a graph. Click either tile to jump to the Loyalty Program page, where you can see the individual customer balances behind the total.

Reading the two together

Earned much higher than used usually means points are piling up unspent. That is a growing liability rather than a win, and it often points to a redemption threshold that is too high or a program customers have not noticed. Used creeping toward earned means the program is circulating, which is normally what you want.

Changing the date period

Both tiles follow the date range chosen at the top of the dashboard, the same control the coupon widgets use. Change the range and both numbers recalculate for the new period. See How to use coupon reports in Advanced Coupons for the full description of the date filter.

How this differs from the Loyalty Program page

The dashboard tiles answer “what happened in this period”. The Loyalty Program page answers “where does each customer stand right now”: current balances per customer, and the history of individual adjustments. Use the tiles to watch the trend, and the Loyalty Program page when you need to look up or correct one customer. See How to manually adjust loyalty program points.

Troubleshooting

The numbers did not change after a test order

Wait, then reload. The loyalty figures are stored in a cache that lasts up to 24 hours for each date range, so a fresh order may not appear straight away. Selecting a different date range and switching back gives you a different cache entry and often shows the new figure sooner.

Also check that the order actually earned points. Points are only awarded once the order reaches Processing or Completed.

Totals look shifted by a day

The period boundaries are calculated in UTC, not in your store’s local time zone. If your store is several hours from UTC, activity late in the evening or early in the morning can land in the neighbouring period. Compare a wider range, such as a full month, if a single day looks wrong.

Both tiles read zero

Either no points moved in the selected period, or the period is wrong. Widen the range to a year and check again. If it is still zero, confirm points earning is switched on under Settings → Points Earning.

Frequently asked questions

Do these tiles show the money value of the points?
No. Both are point counts. To convert to currency, apply your own points-to-currency ratio from the redemption settings.

Do expired points show as used?
No. “Used” counts points a customer redeemed. Points that expire leave the balance without being spent, so they appear in neither tile.

Can I export these figures?
Not from the tiles themselves. They are display-only totals.

Why is there no loyalty report under WooCommerce Analytics?
Advanced Loyalty Program adds its reporting to the Advanced Coupons dashboard rather than to WooCommerce Analytics, so everything from both plugins sits on one screen.
