Advanced Coupons gives you two ways to spare customers from typing a coupon code: One Click Apply and Auto Apply. Both test the Cart Conditions you set on the coupon and act when those conditions pass. The difference is who applies the coupon, and which coupon settings each one works with.
What each feature does
One Click Apply shows a WooCommerce notice on the cart and checkout when the customer qualifies. The notice carries a button, and the customer clicks it to apply the coupon. Turn it on from the One Click Apply panel on the coupon edit screen, using Enable one click apply notifications. You can change the wording in Notification message and Apply Button Text. The default message reads “Your current cart is eligible for a coupon.”
Auto Apply applies the coupon itself the moment the cart qualifies. There is no notice and nothing for the customer to click. Turn it on from the Auto Apply Coupon box on the coupon edit screen, using Enable auto apply for this coupon.
Which one to use
Use Auto Apply when every qualifying cart should get the discount without being asked, for example “save 10% over $100”. Use One Click Apply when you want the customer to accept the discount deliberately, or when the coupon needs a usage limit.
That last point is the one that catches people out. Auto Apply skips any coupon that has Usage limit per coupon or Usage limit per user set, even when the limit still has room left. The coupon simply never applies and no error is shown. One Click Apply has no such restriction, so a usage-limited coupon still gets its notice while the coupon remains valid. If your promotion needs a cap, One Click Apply is the feature to reach for.

Set your Cart Conditions first
Both features check the coupon’s Cart Conditions, so set those before you turn either one on. If the coupon has no conditions, the check passes for every cart, and the coupon is offered or applied to everyone. That is rarely what you want.
