There is a variety of discount types that you can offer using coupons, such as percentage discounts and fixed product discounts.
Note: The Percentage Discount Cap field is part of Advanced Coupons Premium. It is not available in the free plugin.
With our Advanced Coupons plugin, you will have more flexibility by setting up the maximum amount of money that is discounted. Choose Percentage discount from the General tab, then set the Percentage Discount Cap field to the highest amount the coupon may take off.
For example, if you set the discount to 10% for all products and the cap value to $20, the customers can only get up to a $20 discount even though the subtotal is worth more than $200.
